The HWS Update

In Memory

In honor of the life of Hobart sophomore Warren “Kim” Kimber, the Colleges have lowered flags to half-staff.

All members of the Colleges community are encouraged to reach out to one another to offer comfort and support. As always, the Hobart and William Smith Deans and Chaplain Adams are available to talk with students, faculty and staff.

In addition, the Center for Counseling and Student Wellness has extended their hours this week. Every night from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. (M-F), students may drop-in without an appointment to meet with counselors. The Counseling Center is located at 91 St. Clair St. and can be reached at (315) 781-3388. Counselors are also available 24 hours a day by calling Campus Safety at 315-781-3000. The Counseling Center has also created a Web site designed to help community members manage some of the normal symptoms of grief experienced during and after a tragedy: http://www.hws.edu/studentlife/counseling_tragedy.aspx
