A pool tournament will be hosted weekly alternating between the Intercultural Affairs House and Student Activities Center through Friday, April 10.
The tournament, a success last year, has been expanded into a five week event, in an effort build upon its success. “Last year, we had a great turn out, and more people wanted to get involved.” says tournament organizer Benjamin Vargas ’09.
The goal is to raise awareness about the intercultural and student activity facilities on campus. “These are great places to relax and left off some steam on campus, we want students to be more aware.” says Vargas. “These facilities aren’t for a small group, they’re for everybody.”
The tournament consists of 16 teams of two in two divisions of eight. The top eight teams go to the finals for one round eliminations. Pizza and wings will be provided for the round robin. The prizes include $100 and $100 in snack money.
