Among the many worthy national causes that Hobart and William Smith participate in, this year the Colleges will again participate in the annual Relay for Life on Friday, April 10. The event will be hosted by the student-run Colleges Against Cancer organization on campus. Participating teams will meet in Bristol Gym at 7 p.m. on Friday and will have a member of their team either running or walking, in relay-style, until 7 a.m. on Saturday. The event is part of a national fundraising effort to benefit the American Cancer Society.
In addition to this effort at the Field House, Colleges Against Cancer encourages HWS parents, alums and friends to support the cause by making a donation or purchasing luminaries in honor of those who are battling, living with or have died from cancer. The luminaries will bear the names of those who they honor and will be displayed at the event.
The cost of each luminary is a $5 donation and can be purchased online by clicking here.
