Bringing some of the most noteworthy notes in music to campus, Syracuse pianist Kevin Moore will return to Hobart and William Smith on Sunday, April 5 at 3 p.m. in the Geneva Room to perform four more of Beethoven’s piano sonatas.
Honoring the greatness of Beethoven’s 32 piano sonatas, which he composed over a four-year period, Moore will perform all of these at HWS in an eight-concert series, which began in the fall of 2008 and will continue through the spring of 2012. In the upcoming installment in the series, Moore will play four sonatas, including his famous “Waldstein” sonata.
“This is truly extraordinary music,” noted Robert Cowles, professor of music. “Members of the HWS community are lucky to have this opportunity to hear live performances of all of Beethoven’s piano sonatas.”
