Advertising Creativity

The Colleges will welcome advertising guru Barry Strauber, Vice President of Creative Services at Partners + Napier, as the next Professional in Residence at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14 in Stern 103. During his talk, Strauber will discuss, “A Career in Advertising, the Creative Side of the Business.”

The next day, he will be available by appointment for one-on-one sessions between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. in Trinity 109. All interested students should contact Career Services to set up an appointment by contacting Career Services at ext. 3514 or cso@hws.edu.

Established in 2004, Partners + Napier is an integrated marketing communications company that has local, national, and global clients, including Eastman Kodak Company, Constellation Wines U.S., Excellus BlueCross BlueShield, UPS, Bausch & Lomb, Wegmans, State University of NY at Buffalo, Sorrento and President Cheese, and Thule. The company has offices in both Rochester, N.Y. and Atlanta, Ga.  As Vice President, Strauber is responsible for workflow management and allocation of manpower for the creative group.

Strauber graduated from Syracuse University’s SI Newhouse School of Public Communications, with a major in marketing and broadcast. Before he joined Partners + Napier, Strauber worked at several marketing agencies, including Foote, Cone & Belding, Della Femina, Saatchi & Saatchi, and Young & Rubicam.  Strauber is also an active community member in Rochester; he serves as a member on the Board of Directors at the Little Theatre, Rochester’s home for independent and foreign films.
