“Hopefully, this year’s Battle of the Colleges will start a tradition that can last for years to come,” says Chris Bramwell ’10 who, along with Francesca Antonucci ’11, has planned the gaming event for the Classes of 2013 at 7 p.m. on Saturday on the Quad.
In the Battle of the Colleges, Hobart men will face off against William Smith women in a quest for the coveted Battle of the Colleges trophy. Students will take part in 11 different activities, ranging from quad games to mind games. The games will incorporate many of the traditions and history of the Colleges.
The evening will culminate in a giant Tug of War, with the entirety of both Hobart and William Smith struggling against each other’s strength. In the end, the winning class will be recognized with a trophy in their honor.
“I’m really looking forward to Battle of the Colleges,” says Bramwell. “A lot of time and effort has been put into it. Everyone who’s involved in Orientation 2009 will be there, so it should be a huge event and a lot of fun.”
