Rimmerman Quoted in Christian Science Monitor

Craig Rimmerman, professor of political science, was quoted in the May 24 Christian Science Monitor story “Romney rides volatile issue onto US stage.”

Since Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney will not allow town clerks to give marriage licenses to couples who live out of state, political analysts are speculating that he may lose reelection in Massachusetts, but gain a seat in the Senate, become a replacement for vice president Dick Cheney on Bush's 2004 presidential ticket, or run for the presidency in 2008.

“He's making inroads with the conservative base that is so integral to the success of a Republican candidate on the national scale,” said Rimmerman.
