Flanagan finishes 5th at Championships

Hobart College senior Ben Flanagan finished fifth out of 296 runners in the ECAC Championships hosted by Williams today. Flanagan finished the 8-kilometer course in a time of 26 minutes, 53.6 seconds, leading the Statesmen to a 22nd place team finish out of 43 teams.

Senior Tom Harty crossed the finish line next for Hobart. He finished with a time of 29:15.3 for 102nd place. First-year Blake Taylor, junior Ross Hicks followed in 29:58.1 (142nd place) and 31:14.2 (202nd), respectively.

First-year Briton Claridge (31:32.0) and junior Evan Turner (31:45.6) finished 212th and 215th, respectively.

The Statesmen will be back in action on Nov. 14, when they compete in the NCAA Regional Championships at Letchworth State Park.
