Brooke Parish ’84 plans to return to the Colleges to present a Professionals in Residence lecture titled “Careers in Finance Beyond the Numbers.” Parish is the managing director at York Capital Management, and will speak beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 3 in Trinity 305.
On Friday, Dec. 4, Parish will host one-on-one meetings, complete with coaching sessions as well as mock interviews for students.
Prior to joining York Capital Management in 2003, Parish worked in New York City at Lazard Asset Management, another investment management company. Previously, he worked in San Francisco at a start-up alternative asset management firm, and spent seven years with Bessemer Trust. Here, Parish was the head of the alternative asset management group in New York. His career began in Boston in the Employee Benefits Division of Aetna Life Insurance Company. He received his B.A. in history from Hobart College in 1984.
