Throughout the years, the Salisbury Center for Career Services has helped numerous students of Hobart and William Smith Colleges launch careers in a wide range of diverse industries. In collaboration with William Smith Athletics, the Salisbury Center will bring Tiffany R. Jones ’99 back to campus to discuss her company X-Factor Performance Consulting. Jones will offer a talk on Monday, Feb. 1, at 7:30 p.m. in Trinity Hall, room 305.
The firm assists an array of clients – athletes, entrepreneurs, corporations, teams, coaches, parents, and referees – in improving their performance on or off the field or in the office. The types of training that Jones’ company specializes in include life and mental training that lead to elevated confidence, better team cooperation, mental fortitude, career development, time management, and a host of other beneficial skills.
Jones had a decorated athletic and educational career while at HWS. As a student she was a member of the soccer team that reached the NCAA Final Four twice, was a Regional All-American two times, and completed her double major in psychology and English with a minor in women’s studies. Jones earned an M.S. and Ph.D. in sports psychology from Springfield College, where she was also the assistant varsity women’s soccer coach for five years.
As president of X-Factor Performance Consulting, Jones has worked with various youth programs, high schools, colleges and universities, as well as the National Football Foundation, SoccerPlus Reds (WSPL), Soccer Interactive, North Carolina State University, and many private high schools around the nation.
