For its spring performance, the Hobart and William Smith Colleges Community Chorus will present a program of works by 20th-century American composers.
On Tuesday, April 13, the group will perform the following works at 8 p.m. at St. John’s Chapel:
“Frostiana” by Randall Thompson; “Fern Hill” by John Corigliano; and several works by HWS Professor Emeritus Lindsay Lafford.
Soprano Angela Libertella Calabrese will also perform “I Hate Music” by Leonard Bernstein, and *a6*, a vocal sextet newly formed by Professor of Music Bob Cowles, will perform works by Jan Bach, Halsey Stevens, Jacob Druckman, Stephen Paulus, and Arthur Frackenpohl.
The Colleges Community Chorus is directed by Deanna Joseph, Conductor; Meg Heaton is the group’s accompanist.
Admission is free. All are encouraged to attend.
