Jordan Kauffman ’02 is anticipating receiving his M.A. in the histories and theories of architecture from the Architectural Association in London. He intends to pursue his studies further through the Ph.D. program. He has recently been offered a teaching assistantship on a course offered next fall taught by Mark Cousins, the head of the Ph.D. and master's programs in theory and the general studies program, and Brett Steele, the head of the Design Research Laboratory. The Architectural Association is considered to be one the best and most exclusive architecture schools in the world. During his studies at the Architectural Association, he has also had the unique opportunity to work for Zaha Hadid, which he hopes to continue. Hadid is one of the top architects in the international arena. She is ranked with the likes of Frank Gehry and Peter Eisenmann, and recently won the 2004 Priktzer Prize for architecture.
