Studying Fashion Law – Hobart and William Smith Colleges \
The HWS Update

Studying Fashion Law

In the fall, using her liberal arts background and a passion for fashion, Annie Lindenhovius ’09 will attend New York Law School, one of the oldest independent law schools in the United States.

Concentrating on fashion law is a natural extension of Lindenhovius’s interests while at the Colleges.  As secretary of the HWS Arts Collective, Lindenhovius helped spearhead the Arts Collective Fashion Show, which has become one of the most popular annual student run events on campus.  For two years, Lindenhovius helped organize the show, managing designers, models and the logistics of the show and even design garments of her own.

Lindenhovius credits her passion for the arts and her endless career possibilities to her time here at Hobart and William Smith.

“HWS gave me a well rounded experience,” she says.  “I got to study what I loved and take part in the arts.  There was no ultimatum; I could do everything I loved.”

Lindenhovius was an active participant in the arts on campus.  She danced in Koshare for four years, including choreographing several dances; she was a member of the Thel, the Colleges’ literary magazine; and she wrote for the Office of Communications.  Lindenhovius graduated with a B.A. in history and European studies major and minor in Latin.
