At 41:49, junior Tommy Hayes fired a shot into the left side of the goal. It was Hayes’ second goal of the season. A little under a minute later, junior Ryan Geswell took a pass from first-year Kaeghan Kelly, and sent a shot past the Diplomats’ keeper to give Hobart a 3-1 lead.
Sophomore Reuben Burk was the next Statesmen to register a goal at the 45:53 mark. Moulton was credited with the assist. Three minutes, 43 seconds into the second half, sophomore Alex Kittelberger collected a rebound and scored his second goal of the season to make the score 5-1. In the 56th minute, Moulton sent a pass to junior Nate Friedman, who found the back of the net for the final margin.
