This Saturday, Sept. 25, the popular Rochester band Brass Taxi will perform in the Bristol Field House in celebration of Homecoming and Family Weekend. The versatile band has played on campus previously, most recently at this year’s Reunion, as well as Reunions in 2007 and 2009.
Since January of 1996, Brass Taxi has been performing at clubs, festivals, weddings, private parties and fund raisers throughout Upstate New York. The band is comprised of nine experienced musicians, and features both male and female lead vocals, trombone, guitar, sax, drums, trumpet, bass, and keyboards. Playing favorites from 1970 to today, this band is a must-see with its high energy performance and unique combination of top 40, rock and funk. Their song list is designed to entertain multiple generations and ranges in styles from Rick James’ “Super Freak” to Lady Gaga’s No. 1 hit “Bad Romance.”
Brass Taxi will perform during the extravaganza after the football game, from 9:30 p.m. to midnight in the Robert A. Bristol Field House, Caird Center for Sports and Recreation.
