Khan Quoted on Economics and Presidential Election

Feisal Khan, assistant professor of economics, was quoted in the Aug. 28 Journal News (White Plains, N.Y.) article “Bush fighting stock market trend.”

According to the article, the stock market may not even be the most important economic indicator for Bush and Democrat John Kerry.

“Americans may not have made a killing in the stock market the last four years but many have seen the value of their homes rise sharply,” said Khan. “The low interest rates engineered by Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan have allowed many homeowners to cut hundreds of dollars a month off their monthly mortgage payments.”
