Meditation Mondays

The Ven. Tenzin Yignyen holds Buddhist Meditation sessions on Monday nights in the Intercultural Affairs House.

Yignyen is an instructor of Asian languages and cultures and a high-ranking monk within the Dalai Lama’s personal monastery. Organizations such as schools, colleges, museums, yoga centers, art galleries and spiritual centers regularly invite him to construct sand mandalas and speak on the topic of Tibetan Buddhist arts and philosophy. His lectures often focus on the importance of developing love, kindness and compassion in every human being in our society in order to create a happy, healthy and peaceful world. Yignyen believes that these spiritual practices of love, kindness and compassion are the main message of all major religions of the world and the source of all happiness and the best method to bring peace and harmony on this planet.

The Buddhist Meditation sessions begin at 6:30 p.m. on the second floor of Intercultural Affairs House and all are welcome to attend.
