On Wednesday, Oct. 27, Jennifer Lever ’08 will speak about her career with the Pepsi Bottling Group (PBG) as part of the Professionals in Residence series sponsored by the Salisbury Center for Career Services and Professional Development. This informational session will take place at 7 p.m., in Stern Hall 203.
PBG is the world’s largest manufacturer, seller and distributor of Pepsi-Cola beverages. It became a publicly-traded company in March, 1999, through one of the largest initial public offerings in the history of the New York Stock Exchange, and is soon to merge back into the PepsiCo umbrella, which will make PepsiCo the second largest consumer products company in the world.
Lever has been with the company since June of 2008, and has taken on five different roles in addition to creating a sustainability program that has led to nearly $500,000 of cost aversion for the 11 locations in Upstate New York. Her “Go Green” efforts have been nationally recognized and her input played a critical role in the PBG National Recycle Policy. Prior to her role at PBG, Lever worked as a scholar intern for the Cintas Corporation out of Syracuse, N.Y.
Lever received a B.A. in economics and sociology from William Smith College.
On Thursday, Oct. 28, PBG Human Resources Manager Katherine Sawyers will hold one-on-one job interviews for seniors.
