Celebrate Halloween on campus this weekend with tons of exciting events! Friday evening, relax at the Café where guitarist Chris Nathan is set to put on an acoustic performance at 5:30 p.m. CAB will also host a haunted house and movie beginning at 8 p.m. Stop by Bristol Field House to be spooked at the Haunted House, or head to the Quad to catch the movie.
On Saturday, it’s all about sports. The Hobart Football team will play Worcester Polytechnic Institute at noon on Boswell Field. Meanwhile, the Cross Country team will host the Liberty League Championships at Seneca Lake State Park. The Statesmen run at noon and the Herons follow at 1 p.m. After the invitational, the William Smith Field Hockey team takes on SUNY Geneseo at 2 p.m on McCooey field. Lastly, Saturday and Sunday the HWS Sailing team will host the war Memorial on Seneca Lake.
Later Saturday evening, tune your radio to WEOS, 89.7 FM or 90.3 FM to hear President Mark Gearan speak about the upcoming elections on NPR’s “All Things Considered.” The program begins at 5 p.m., and can also be streamed live online at both WEOS and NPR’s websites.
The weekend wraps up with just a few more Halloween events. On Sunday, an All Hallows’ Eve service will be held at St. John’s Chapel at 4 p.m. A procession to Glenwood Cemetery and House Church follow the service. All are welcome to attend. At 7p.m., join your friends for Bingo Royale in the Sanford Room. Completing the weekend’s celebrations, the residents of the Village at Odell’s Pond will hold their annual Trick or Treat festivities. Beginning at 6 p.m. faculty and staff are encouraged to bring their children to Odell’s for some candy, refreshments, and fun.
