The press release from Phlo Corporation is below.

Phlo Announces Excellent Response to Entry of AQUIS in Consumer Sports Market
JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Aug. 26, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) — Phlo Corporation announced today that one of the companies in its corporate group has had an excellent response to its first entry into the consumer sports market. AQUIS(tm) Rapid Response Rehydration solutions are now available to the general public through MadLax Sports, the largest lacrosse specialty store in the Washington, D.C., area. MadLax reports that the athletes “love” AQUIS(tm) and “It works instantly as opposed to Gatorade.”

MadLax Sports, which is selling AQUIS(tm) Rapid Response Rehydration solutions in its three stores located in McLean and Alexandria, Virginia and Olney, Maryland and through its Web site, has carried AQUIS(tm) products for just over a month. MadLax Sports has grown into one of the nation's top lacrosse stores since it was founded in 1996 by Cabell Maddux, an All-American attackman and two-time National Champion at Hobart College, and his brother Victor, an All-American attackman at Denison University. MadLax is involved with teams on every level of lacrosse, from youth leagues to the World Games.

AQUIS(tm) has been shown to be the most effective oral rehydration solution in the world by some of the top scientists in the world in the field (a team of scientists at the International Center for Diarrheal Disease Research, Bangladesh (ICDDRB)). The ICDDRB is the institution that pioneered the discovery of oral rehydration solutions and has recently received the Gates Award for Global Health in recognition of this contribution.

AQUIS(tm) Rapid Response Rehydration solutions provide superior rehydration through advanced liposomal electrolyte delivery technology (micro-encapsulating the electrolyte payload for direct absorption into the bloodstream). Direct absorption begins immediately upon drinking AQUIS(tm) because the micro-encapsulated electrolytes are absorbed by all membranes with which they come into contact (beginning with the mucous membranes in the mouth). This micro-encapsulation of the electrolytes allows AQUIS(tm) to taste good (no salty taste), encouraging consumption prior to the point of dehydration. AQUIS(tm) Rapid Response Rehydration was designed for use by the U.S. military.

Each packet of AQUIS(tm) Rapid Response Rehydration makes one liter of rehydration fluid. MadLax Sports is selling each packet for approximately $3.00 and requires a minimum order of 12 packets for telephone or Internet sales. MadLax can be reached by telephone (toll-free) at 1-877-2-MADLAX or on the Internet at www.madlax.com
