Enjoy the Weekend: Nov. 5-7

The weekend of Nov. 5-7 has much to offer especially for art enthusiasts. On Friday, the closing reception for the Miles and May Exhibit, created by specialty furniture makers Brandon and Amy Phillips of Geneva, will be held from 7 – 9 p.m. at the Davis Gallery in Houghton House.

On Friday and Saturday, The Laramie Project will be showing at the Black Box Theatre in the Geneva Community Center at 7:30 p.m. On Sunday a matinee will begin at 2 p.m. The Laramie Project tells the story of Matthew Shepard from Laramie, Wyoming who was murdered in a hate crime.

This is also a great weekend to cheer on the Herons and Statesmen. Get out and support the Hobart Ice Hockey team as they open for the season taking on Utica College on Friday at 7 p.m. as well as on Saturday when they will take on Manhattanville College. On Saturday the William Smith Swimming and Diving teams will compete against Buffalo State College in the Bristol Pool at 1 p.m.

Wrapping up Saturday, Caribbean Student Association will host a Pajama Fest at 11 p.m. in the Barn.
