This weekend offers an array of activities whether you want to attend a Bollywood party in the Barn on Friday night or enjoy the sounds of pianist Kevin Moore in the Geneva Room on Sunday afternoon.

Starting on Friday, Nov. 12, the South East Culture Club will host a Diwali celebration beginning at 5 p.m. in the Barn. Free Indian food will be served followed by a Bollywood party. It will be a great time for good food and henna tattoos. This weekend is also the final showing of the Laramie Project at the Black Box Theatre in the Geneva Community Center.

Also on Friday, the campus community is invited to join Project Nur in “Celebrate Diversity with Kamran Pasha,” at 5 p.m. in the Sanford Room. Attendees can enjoy free food and discussion with guest speaker Kamran Pasha.

William Smith College will host the first and second rounds of the 2010 NCAA Division III Women’s Soccer Tournament this weekend. The Herons will take on Keuka College at 11 a.m. on Saturday, followed by the University of Scranton playing Plattsburgh State at 1:30 p.m. The winners will meet on Sunday at 1 p.m. to play for a spot in the third round.

The Hobart Football team will play the University of Rochester on Boswell Field at noon on Saturday. Following the game, the Walk for Haiti Fundraiser will be held in the Field House. Prizes will be offered to the best team theme.

Wrapping up the weekend, Phi Sigma Kappa brothers will host their annual Turkey Trot on Sunday. The run begins at 11 a.m. at Phi Sigma Kappa. Later Sunday, pianist Kevin Moore will perform a recital of piano sonatas by Ludwig van Beethoven at 3 p.m. in the Geneva Room. Admission is free; donations will be gratefully accepted.
