Enjoy Winter with the Music Department

With only weeks left before Winter Break, there are still many opportunities to experience the talent and dedication of the HWS music community.  So as the semester draws to a close, take a break from studying to relax and enjoy a diverse selection of music and concerts.  The end-of-semester concerts presented by ensembles in the Department of Music are as follows:

Colleges Community Chorus

Haydn’s “Lord Nelson Mass”

Tuesday, Nov. 30 at 8 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church in Geneva (24 Park Place)

 

Colleges Guitar Ensemble

Sunday, Dec. 5 at 2 p.m. in the Geneva Room

 

Colleges Woodwind and String Ensembles

Mark Olivieri and Andrew Zaplatynsky, directors

Tuesday, Dec. 7 at 8 p.m. in St. John’s Chapel

 

Colleges Jazz Ensemble

Thursday, Dec. 9 at 10 p.m. in the Geneva Room

 

Colleges Brass Ensemble

Friday, Dec. 10 at 8 p.m. in St. John’s Chapel

 

All concerts are free and open to the public.

In addition, there will be a Chorale Madrigal Dinner Concert on Saturday, Dec. 4.  Proceeds from this year’s event will benefit the Geneva Theatre Guild.  If you are interested in attending, please contact Bob Cowles for ticket information at cowles@hws.edu.
