The William Smith soccer team is making its final preparations for its NCAA Division III Tournament semifinal match against Messiah. The contest is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. CT (8:30 ET) at Blossom Soccer Stadium in San Antonio, Texas.
Fans who cannot make it to Texas can follow all of the action online. The NCAA is providing live streaming video and live stats accessible through the links above or via NCAA.com. Additionally, WHWS-FM (105.7 in Geneva) will broadcast the game live and provide an audio stream on its website, whws.fm.
For students on campus, there will be a Live Web Broadcast of the match beginning at 8 p.m. in the Vandervort Room. Free snacks and drinks will be served, so come join other fans in supporting the Herons!
The Herons are 18-2-3 overall and ranked ninth in the nation in the latest NSCAA coaches poll. Senior BreLynn Nasypany leads the team with 18 goals and school records of 13 assists and 49 points. Junior goalie Amanda Davis anchors the defense with a 0.57 GAA and an .857 save percentage.
The Falcons are 23-0-0 and ranked first in the nation. The two schools have squared off just one other time, in the 2008 NCAA semifinals.
