The Hobart squash team, ranked No. 25 in the most recent College Squash Association Rankings, dropped four matches over the weekend.
The Statesmen fell to No. 19 Amherst 9-0 on Friday, and to both No. 17 Middlebury and No. 12 Bates 9-0 on Saturday. On Sunday, Hobart lost 7-2 to No. 27 Columbia.
Against Columbia, first-year William Boyle picked up a win at the No. 8 spot. He won the first two games 11-8 and 11-7, and dropped the third 11-9. Boyle rallied for the win with an 11-7 victory in the final game. Senior Dan Sills also secured a win for Hobart at No. 9. He defeated the Lions’ Anchit Nayar by scores of 11-6, 11-6, and 12-10.
The Statesmen return to action Jan. 22-23 taking on Colby, Connecticut College, and Wesleyan in the 2011 Yale Round Robin.
