Start the semester with a laugh, by joining CAB for their first event of the spring semester. On Friday, Jan. 21, CAB welcomes comedian Jen Kober at 8 p.m. to Albright Auditorium. Kober brings a blend of stand up, storytelling and improvised comedy to the stage.
Described as “the caustic cupcake of comedy – quick, biting and sweet all at the same time” by Sandra Hardy of the Chicago Reader, Kober is sure to provide an evening full of laughs.
Kober can be seen in HBO’s new drama series, “Treme,” this spring where she plays a recurring role as a lawyer. She has also appeared on the show “Happy Endings” on ABC, season 8 of the HBO series “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” Showtime’s “White Boyz in the Hood” and “Comics Unleashed.” In addition, she played the part of Lo’Quacious Jones in the upcoming MTV movie “Worst.Prom.Ever.” Kober was classically trained at The Theatre School of DePaul University in Chicago. Her original show “sUbcITy” won The Director’s Choice Award at the Kennedy Centre Theatre Festival. Check out some of her previous shows by visiting her website www.jenkober.com.
CAB will welcome several other performers to campus this semester including acapella group Sonos on Feb. 11.
