Hobart hockey to host Give Back event

The Hobart hockey team will host “Give Back Night” at The Cooler on Friday, Feb. 11, when the Statesmen take on Elmira in an ECAC West game at 7 p.m. Hobart will wear camouflage jerseys and be selling merchandise to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project.

Since 2007, the Statesmen have raised awareness and funds for the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP). WWP is a non-profit organization committed to supporting severely injured U.S. military personnel when they return home from service in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other areas around the world.

The first 50 people to arrive at the game will receive a free “Cooler” winter hat.

Prior to the game, U.S. Army Capt. Richard Brown, a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan, will start things off with a ceremonial puck drop.

Throughout the night, the Statesmen will be selling bracelets for $3, winter hats for $12, sweatshirts for $50, and special edition camouflage jerseys for $100. For more information on purchasing these items contact Danny Organ.
