Rosen ’69 to Mentor College Students

The Honorable Larry J. Rosen ’69 recently agreed to serve as the Distinguished Jurist in Residence at Siena College. In this position he will act as a mentor, holding regular office hours to advise and guide Siena College students who have questions related to the study and practice of law.

Rosen’s qualifications for this position come from several decades of experience in a variety of law-related appointments. After the Phi Beta Kappa graduate earned his B.A. in political science at Hobart College, he graduated from the Duke University School of Law in 1973 before beginning his career as a Judge.

His first appointment to the bench was as the Albany City Court Judge from 1985 to 1995 and later as the Albany County Court Judge from 1996-2001. Since then he as been in private practice, serving as New York State Minority Counsel from 2001-2005 and as the chair of the City of Albany Charter Revision Commission and the City of Albany Police Chief search.
