Orientation Coordinators Wanted

Are you interested in being an Orientation Coordinator for the Classes of 2015? Applications for the positions are due by 5 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 21.

Orientation Coordinators help select 10-12 Orientation Leaders and approximately 100 Orientation Mentors. Collectively, the student staff is charged with implementing all activities for Orientation 2011. Coordinators primarily serve as guides for the entire Orientation student staff.

In addition, they have regular contact with campus faculty, staff, parents and first- year students while providing daily oversight for the entire Orientation program. Coordinators are expected to possess a broad knowledge base of HWS offices, programs and campus services. They must be sincerely interested and skillful in sharing this information with new students.

The two Orientation Coordinators, one from each College, play key roles in planning and implementing the first-year Orientation program. These paid positions begin March 4 and conclude Sept. 16.
