Johnson Participated in Civil Rights Conference

Cedric Johnson, assistant professor of political science, participated in a conference Sept. 24, at the University of Rochester, titled “Northern Struggles: New Paradigms in Civil Rights.” He served as moderator for a closing roundtable discussion that featured a number of well-known scholars in the areas of civil rights history and urban history. The panel included Thomas Sugrue, from the University of Pennsylvania; Beth Tompkins Bates, from Wayne State University; Victoria Wolcott, from University of Rochester; Robert Self, from Brown University; Stephen Ward, from the University of Michigan; Martha Biondi, from Northwestern University; and Ula Taylor, from the University of Southern California.
