Rocco L. (Chip) Capraro, associate dean of Hobart, has had published the lead theoretical chapter, “Men's Studies as a Foundation for Student Development Wortk with College Men,” for Developing Effective Programs and Services for College Men, which is the most recent monograph in the prestigious Jossey-Bass, New Directions for Student Services, series. Capraro's chapter discusses the history and theory of men's studies, a field primarliy concerned with masculinity and other aspects of men's identity and experience, and explores its implications for work with college men.
