The Creative Side of Advertising

Students will have the unique opportunity to learn about the creative side of advertising on Tuesday, April 5, when Michael Tiedemann P’13, the senior vice president creative director at Digitas, will join the Professionals in Residence Series. From his perspective as the creative director for major companies, Tiedemann will discuss careers in advertising at 7:30 p.m. in Trinity 305.

Tiedemann will also be available for one-on-one sessions the following day in Trinity 109. Contact Career Services to schedule an appointment.

At Digitas, Tiedemann leads a creative team that is responsible for the Bank of America’s digital marketing and advertising. He has also served as creative director at General Motors responsible for Pontiac, Buick and GMC websites, and creative director for Answerthink Consulting Group. Tiedemann received a B.F.A. from Syracuse University’s School of Visual Arts.

Sponsored by the Salisbury Center for Career Services, Professionals in Residence offers opportunities for students to speak one-on-one with individuals with successful careers who are willing to share some tips of the trade that come only with individual experience.
