Perkins Leads Workshop for Western Pennsylvania Secondary School Educators

Wesley Perkins, professor of sociology, was invited to Meadville, Pa., on Oct. 7 to lead a day-long workshop on the “Positive Social Norms Approach to Reducing Substance Abuse and Promoting a Healthy School Environment” for the Safe Schools Fall Regional Training in Western Pennsylvania.

This training for secondary school teachers and administrators and for public health officials was sponsored by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, Bureau of Community and Student Services, Division of Safe and Drug Free Schools in partnership with the Center for Safe Schools.
