Jazz music will return to campus on Friday, June 3 during this year’s Reunion Weekend. Beginning at 9 p.m. in Scandling Campus Center, Bob Masteller ’60 and Steve Venuti ’71 will bring a close to the day’s activities with a lively jazz performance that is sure to serve as the perfect nightcap to a day jam-packed with activities.
Masteller, Venuti, and their band of talented musicians will play until midnight in the newest section of the Scandling Campus Center, celebrating this fantastic new space. The concert promises to end the evening on fun note, allowing alums to chat, dance and enjoy old friends and their time on campus – setting the perfect mood for the Quad Party the following night, an event that will also feature live music and good times.
Masteller and Venuti are no rookies to performing on campus, and have played the for the illustrious HWS scene previously – not only at last year’s Reunion festivities, but for separate concerts and seminars on jazz music as well. The group has become a part of the annual celebration, and are best remembered for their vivacious performance a few years ago when they got the crowd moving at the opening of the Davis Gallery in Houghton House.
