Dotzman’11 Analyzes Shipping for L’Oreal

Justin Dotzman ’11 has spent the summer working for cosmetics company L’Oreal U.S.A., as part of the corporate transportation team. Dotzman, who was a double major in mathematics and architectural studies, says he compiles data from several carriers for the Professional Products Department of L’Oreal in order to breakdown the efficiency of spending with different carriers.

Using his background in mathematics, Dotzman calculates different formulas in accordance with shipping history and carrier rates; the data is utilized by L’Oreal management.

During his time at Hobart and William Smith Colleges, Dotzman was a member of the Hobart Soccer team and was awarded the Liberty League Honorable Mention, named to the Liberty League men’s Soccer All-Academic Team, and earned a spot on the Liberty League All-Academic team. He finished out his Statesmen career with four goals and six assists for 14 points in 50 career games. Over his four years, the Statesmen recorded a 52-15-12 record.
