Dobkowski Speaks at Boston University Conference

Michael Dobkowski, professor of religious studies, gave a talk titled “American Anti-Semitism: The Myth and Reality of American Exceptionalism” at the “Why is America Different” conference in honor of the anniversary of the founding of the American Jewish Community, on Oct. 27 at Boston University.

Dobkowski was recently quoted on Jewish voters in the Hartford Courant. A prolific writer, he has written “The Tarnished Dream: The Basis of American Anti-Semitism,” “The Politics of Indifference: Documentary History of Holocaust Victims in America,” and “Jewish American Voluntary Organizations.” He has co-written other volumes on the Holocaust and genocide, and also co-wrote “The Nuclear Predicament: Nuclear Weapons in the 21st Century.” His book “On the Edge of Scarcity” (co-written with Isador Wallimann) was released in 2001.
