Brandon Brundige ’12 earned a competitive internship at NBC-TV in Washington, D.C., this summer. Since May, he has been involved in news production, aiding in fielding a story, shooting the segment and then editing the final version. He also has served as a reporter in front of the camera.
“What I love about the internship is the variety of things that I get to do,” Brundige says. “From this experience I hope to become faster at the whole process of going out into the field, shooting a story, and editing it for the evening news. Becoming more efficient and practicing these skills will help me meet deadlines and produce news segments that I am proud of. “
Brundige is a media and society major and an education minor.
“I felt well prepared going into this internship. Last semester I took an editing course and gained experience using a camera, which has been very helpful,” he says.
