Sandy Gross ’85 was recently interviewed on Bloomberg News’ weekday program “Fast Forward” about the changing employment and compensation trends in the U.S. financial industry. With nearly 15 years of experience in executive searching and recruiting, Gross explains to Host Lisa Murphy how current trends in the financial industry are opening up opportunities to mid- and junior-level executives.
Gross is the founder and managing partner of Pinetum Partners, a retained executive search firm specializing in senior level search for hedge funds, investment banks and securities firms. Pinetum Partners also specializes in placing financial professionals across industries.
She earned her B.A. in psychology and religious studies from William Smith College, where she was a career counseling intern and assistant and chair of Hai Timiai, the senior honor society. She was also a member of the swim team, the social affairs club, and was active with the William Smith Dean’s Committee, softball intramurals, and the United Way. She is the recipient of the Young Alumna Award and a William Smith Congress Award. Gross went on to earn her MBA from Pepperdine University. In 2010, the National Association of Professional and Executive Women (NAPEW) presented her with the “Woman of the Year” award in recognition of her honesty, hard work, tenacity and commitment to her clients.
