Sprinkle Elected a Vice President of Family Counseling Service of the Finger Lakes Board

Steve Sprinkle, director of the Counseling Center, was recently elected Vice President for Assessment of the Family Counseling Service of the Finger Lakes’ (FCSFL) Board of Directors. FCSFL is a local, non-profit, United Way agency that plays a vital role in providing domestic violence, child sexual abuse treatment, family support, and other important services in Ontario, Seneca, Wayne, and Yates counties. In addition, the agency offers affordable counseling services to faculty and staff through the HWS Employee Assistance Program (http://campus.hws.edu/adm/hr/benefits/EAP.asp).

Other members of the HWS community are also involved in the agency: Anita Canizares, director of the Center for Teaching and Learning, is a member of the Board of Directors; and Clarence Butler, dean of Hobart College, is the president of the Family Service Resources Board, which is the holding company for FCSFL.
