The Center for Global Education and the Office of Intercultural Affairs, in collaboration with The Sons of Italy, have organized The Third Annual Bocce Tournament, to take place on Saturday, Oct. 1, at 11 a.m. Community members and HWS faculty, staff and students are invited to participate in this event, which has been very successful in the past. Organizers are hoping for a record turnout this year.
“It is a great way to get HWS and the Geneva community together,” says Italian Instructor Sebastiano Lucci, an organizer of the tournament. “Bocce is a fun game that anybody can play; no experience is necessary.”
To participate in the tournament, contact Lucci (Lucci@hws.edu) or Emma Pierceschell (Emma.Pierceschell@hws.edu). Indicate whether you are registering as an individual or as a member of a four-player team.
The tournament will take place at the Sons of Italy, 31 Prospect Avenue. Lunch will be provided at the tournament, as will coaching for those who have little or no bocce experience.
