Bob Murphy, vice president for enrollment and dean of admissions, will present a talk about careers at PepsiCo, where he worked for 26 years, serving in a variety of roles including Operating Officer of PepsiCo International in Istanbul, before joining the Colleges in 2004. The talk will be held on Monday, Oct. 3, at 7:30 p.m. in Stern 103.
PepsiCo representatives will be on campus on Oct. 13 and 14 to recruit seniors for full-time operations and sales programs in New York State. In anticipation of their arrival, Murphy will give the pre-recruiting talk on Oct. 3, where he will describe the available positions, answer questions, and give application advice.
The Operations Development Program is looking for employees with leadership and interpersonal skills to develop a team, who have a desire to move into management, and possess the ability to work well under pressure. The Sales Development Program is looking for candidates with great communication skills, who have goal-oriented mindsets, are self-motivation and excel in analytical and fact-based selling skills.

Murphy joined HWS as the director of the Salisbury Center for Career Services in 2004. In 2009, he accepted a position as the Vice President of Enrollment and Dean of Admissions. He has a B.S. in education and history from Norwich University as well as an M.Ed. in rehabilitation counseling and C.A.S. in student personnel administration, both from Springfield College. Murphy is a former officer in the U.S. Marine Corps and an honorary member of the Hobart Class of 2006.
