A contemporary print by Associate Professor of Art Nicholas Ruth is included in the Inaugural Atlanta Print Biennial, which opened at the Barbara Archer Gallery in Atlanta, Ga., on Nov. 5. The display was organized by the Atlanta Printmakers Studio as “an international juried exhibit of hand pulled prints and works on paper produced by renowned artists from around the world.”
Ruth’s work was one of 70 prints selected from more than 750 entries from the United States, Canada, Europe, and Japan. Atlanta Printmakers Studio is a non-profit organization, dedicated to teaching and promoting the art of printmaking. His print will be on display through Dec. 3.
A nationally recognized artist, Ruth has exhibited work at the Academy Art Museum in Maryland, the Atlanta Artists Center in Georgia, Pittsburgh’s Three Rivers Arts Festival, Western Illinois University, and in the Hartnett Gallery at the University of Rochester.
