Sustainability Coordinator James Landi ’08 will appear on WHEC-TV, the NBC affiliate in Rochester, on Friday, Nov. 18 at 5:30 p.m.

Landi was interviewed by WHEC-TV’s Ted Fioraliso about Hobart and William Smith Colleges’ recently signed agreement to immediately offset 100 percent of its electricity with wind, making HWS the first, small liberal arts college in New York to be powered solely by wind.

Landi also spoke about the Colleges’ Climate Action Plain to achieve climate neutrality by 2025

Landi was joined in the interview by Derek Weis ’12, a senior from Dorset, Vermont, who is currently working on a project to create garden cold frames to facilitate the winter growth of plants and vegetables for the Colleges’ organic garden.
