Recyclemania will continue with a Residence Hall Storm on Monday, Feb. 13, in residence halls across campus. Beginning around 8 p.m., groups of students will meet at various residence halls and “storm” them taking their recyclable goods. This year, Hall Storm will get a helping hand from members of the Hobart football team, William Smith soccer team, William Smith crew team, along with Campus Greens.
Organized by Sustainability Coordinator James Landi, the Storm is a continuation of Hobart and William Smith’s eight-week Recyclemania campaign to raise awareness about recycling and sustainability. Currently, HWS recycles at a rate of 25 percent and is ranked 167th in the nation for recycling. Landi hopes to get HWS to a 35 percent recycling rate by the time Recyclemania ends on March 31.
