Chegg CEO and President Daniel L. Rosensweig ’83 had a cameo appearance on ABC’s “Shark Tank,” during the episode that aired locally on Friday, Feb. 10 (week 4). Rosensweig appears meeting with Sean Conway and D.J. Stephan, Shark Tank Season 1 participants who founded Notehall and made a $90,000 deal with Barbara Corcoran.
“It’s nice to have a couple of millionaires working for me,” Rosensweig commented.
Chegg purchased Notehall and hired the two entrepreneurs, following their appearance on Shark Tank.

Meanwhile, Rosensweig was also included among “The Silicon Valley 100” by The Business Insider SAI. The publication provided a compilation of the people who did the coolest things in Silicon Valley this year. Rosensweig was ranked 64.
Prior to joining Chegg, Rosensweig was president and CEO of Activision Blizzard’s Guitar Hero franchise. His accomplished professional life has been focused in media communications and Internet industries, including roles as Chief Operating Officer of Yahoo!, President of CNET, and CEO of ZDNET.
Throughout his career, Rosensweig, a member of the Colleges’ Board of Trustees, has created internship opportunities for HWS students to work directly with him and offered them job opportunities following graduation.
He dedicated the Rosensweig Learning Commons at HWS in 2008. He was a President’s Forum Series speaker this past spring.
During his time as a Hobart student, Rosensweig was a political science major, a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity, and studied abroad in London.
