The HWS Figure Skating Club, in conjunction with the Colleges’ Hope House and The Geneva Community Skating Club, will present the second annual Skate for Hope fundraising event on Sunday, March 3.
Admission is $5 and includes free skate time, skate rental and a brief performance by the Skating Club, scheduled to begin at 4:45 p.m. The Skate for Hope performance will feature Sarah Smith ’12, Eden Tesfaye ’14 and Kristyna Bronner ’14, as well as members of the Geneva Skating Club.
Last year, Skate for Hope raised more than $700 for Camp Good Days. This year, the proceeds from the event will once again be donated to benefit those affected by cancer, and will be donated directly to a local Geneva family with close ties to the skating community.
Hot chocolate, baked goods, water and sweets will be available for purchase.
Skate for Hope will take place at the Geneva Recreational Complex, “the Cooler” from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. This event is open to the Geneva community.
