Participation has nearly doubled for the second annual Seneca7 race that will take place on Saturday, April 28. The relay race around Seneca Lake features seven- member teams, running a total of 77.77 miles. Last year, more than 500 runners participated, while so far this year’s Seneca7 has 119 teams comprised of 833 runners, who have registered from seven states. Registration is open until April 23.
The Seneca7 race committee from Hobart and William Smith Colleges has been hard at work building support and involvement for the race. To garner even more involvement, the race committee will host a special interest meeting on Monday, March 12 at 8:15 p.m. on the first floor of the Scandling Campus Center.
“We want to invite all HWS and Geneva community members who are interested in learning more about the Seneca7 to attend,” says committee member Carrie Stevens ’12.
Other race committee members include Laura Bacco ’14, Cristian Cedacero ’12, Alexamarie Crivelli ’14, Courtney Cytryn ’14, Emily D’addario ’13, Sarah Depillo ’14, Anna Hertlein ’12, Will McConnell ’12 and Carrie Stevens ’12.
