Hobart student-athletes recently assisted with The Santa Train project, for the fifth year. More than 20 students from the sailing, crew, tennis and lacrosse teams helped set up, park participants, and assist passengers.
The Santa Train raised over $5,000 for the Geneva Rotary Club; these funds will be used to support such community projects as the Boys & Girls Club, Camp Onseyawa and the YMCA.
Mike Hanna, director of Hobart athletics, received a note from Pat Krauss, chairman of the project. Krauss wrote, “You have no idea how much the efforts of the Hobart athletes meant to both me and the Santa Train project. … Truly, if it had not been for your folks, it would not have been the success it was.”
