Scott Wittig ’94 is about to release “The Second Day,” a motivational book based on his failed suicide attempts while in high school. The book is written for young adults with the intention of providing a source of perspective and inspiration. Wittig’s premise in writing the book is that the two most important days of your life are the day you were born and the day you realize why you were born.
Wittig is an inspiring speaker to young adults and adults. “The Second Day” is his second book. His first book was “Holy It! A Guide to Finding and Doing Your Thing- Your ‘It.'” His mission is to create a movement of doing what you’re passionate about, what you were put here for and what you’re best at — he refers to this as doing your ‘It’.
Wittig earned a B.A. in psychology from Hobart and played on the soccer team. After graduation, he pursued a career in the mortgage industry. He founded doITgroups.com and Achieve IT Media, which coach companies centered around mastermind groups called “do IT groups” to assist in making a person’s “It” happen.
Although he has faced many challenges, Wittig believes in helping others get out of their “rut” and achieve success and happiness.
Wittig is married and the father of two children. They live in Apex, N.C.
