Bocce Explores Italian Culture

This weekend, the Colleges will hold their first Fall Bocce Tournament – inviting members of the HWS and Geneva communities alike to explore a meaningful piece of Italian culture -and to take home the coveted title of “HWS Bocce Champion.”

On Saturday, Sept. 15, the Center for Global Education kicks of a series of events focusing on Italy and the HWS Rome abroad program with the tournament which begins at noon. The tournament will take place on the newly constructed Bocce courts located behind the Scandling Campus Center.

Those interested in participating are asked to register. Although registration is free, the tournament is limited to 16 players. Players may register as a team of up to four people – or one may simply ask to be placed on a team. All are encouraged to join, and no experience or knowledge of Bocce is necessary.

To register, contact Tom D’Agostino in the Center for Global Education at tdagostino@hws.edu. Participants will receive further information once registration is closed.
